Day 35 of 40 Days of Prayer

9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. 11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. (John 10:9-11 NIV)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your Son, our good shepherd – who protects our goings out and in, who came to bring us a life of abundance – excessive, overflowing, surplus, over and above, more than enough, extraordinary, and more than sufficient life! Thank you that Jesus laid down his life for us, bought us and redeemed us with his blood. We ask for forgiveness of our sins, sins against you and each other – sins where we have complained about what was wrong, instead of praising you for all that is right.

We pray for our nation, for the people of this land, to recognize and follow the good shepherd’s voice. We pray for each and every heart to turn to you God. We pray for the leaders of our country, to seek you and your will for their lives and for our country. We pray for people to recognize the thief and to turn away from him and receive the peace your good shepherd brings.

We pray for boldness for your children, to share your message with the lost and hurting – so that all would know the fullness of life that your gift of salvation brings. We thank you God for all you have done for this nation and we pray for your continued favor, blessings, mercy and grace upon us all; in your son Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN!

Day 34 of 40 Days of Prayer

23 Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. 24 A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. 25 Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. 26 Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants. (2 Timothy 2:23-26 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your wisdom and discernment. Thank you for your guidance and thank you for allowing your children to be taught and open to the truth. We ask for forgiveness of our sins, sins against you and each other; sins where we’ve argued with others trying to force them to understand – what we cannot force, only you can reveal!

We pray for our nation, we pray for hearts to be softened to you and your message. We pray for eyes and ears to be opened and that your truth would be received by all. Jesus died to give us freedom; our salvation is freedom from the lies and bondage of the enemy. We pray for our leaders to break the chains that have blinded them from the truth and to receive their salvation; so that they would follow you and your will dear God.

We pray for your children to be faithful and mindful of your Word. We pray for softened hearts, for your guidance and direction.  We pray for your continued mercies and grace upon our land and our people; bless us so we can bless others, encourage us so we can encourage others. Thank you God for all you have done for us, in Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN!

Day 33 of 40 Days of Prayer

35 As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” 36 So they took Jesus in the boat and started out, leaving the crowds behind (although other boats followed). 37 But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water.

38 Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”

39 When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. 40 Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

41 The disciples were absolutely terrified. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “Even the wind and waves obey him!”  (Mark 4:35-41 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your Word that guides us, directs us, instructs us and comforts us. We thank you that Jesus gave a direction, the disciples listened, and during their journey they encountered a storm – a trial.  They were afraid and didn't think they could finish the journey, but they knew they could call out to Jesus and He alone, could save them; they could receive the peace and calm that this world can not bring – but only you can give. We ask for forgiveness of our sins, sins against you and each other; sins where our faith and pride has kept us from trusting in you.

We say a prayer for those going through the storms of life; we pray for them to call out to you God and your son Jesus – so they can receive their salvation, peace and comfort. We pray for this nation to see that although we may face many storms, we are never alone, God is here and He is watching us – waiting for us to call out to Him, so He can calm the storm around us and within us. We pray for the people of our land that don’t know you, that they would cast down their idols and lift their hands to you God; surrender their worries, fears and troubles and give them to you. We pray for our leaders to come to you on bended knee and give you the honor and glory that you are due; so that they can receive your divine guidance and wisdom through these times we are entering.

We pray for the safety of all the people that are being impacted by the present storm; that they would be protected and kept from any and all harm. We thank you for your hand upon our nation, protecting us and blessing us. In Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN!

Day 32 of 40 Days of Prayer

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. 3 Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up. (Hebrews 12:1-3 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the race set before us, thank you for the endurance we have been given to finish our race. Thank you that although troubles will come, we know that it is nothing compared to the cross that Jesus endured for us all.  We ask for forgiveness of our sins, sins against you and each other – sins where we gave up before the race was over; sins from too little faith and not enough perseverance.

We pray for our nation, we pray that the people would join together in glorifying you and your Son; that the truth would be sought out and found. We pray for the leaders of our country to remember justice and integrity, to speak only the truth and to follow your will. We pray for the lost to find salvation in your Son Jesus and we pray for the wandering to return to you and your ways. We pray for a revival among your church, that each person would endure the trials set before them and that their testimonies would be used to glorify you. We thank you for your continued hand of favor and blessings upon our country and we pray for every knee to bow and every tongue to confess the name of Jesus as their Lord and Savior. In your son Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN!

Day 31 of 40 Days of Prayer

12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.
14 So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. (Hebrews 4:12-16 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your mercies and grace, thank you for your Son Jesus, thank you that because of Jesus we can now come to your throne of grace and receive your mercy. We ask for forgiveness of our sins, sins against you and each other; sins that we’ve tried to leave behind, but still struggle with, thank you that no matter where we have been - when we seek you and your forgiveness you still love us and forgive us.

We pray for our nation to seek you out today, to look to your Word, to find your church and find your love and truth. This country was founded as a nation who worshiped God, a land that has received God's favor and blessings because of their foundation in God - we pray for a return to these principles. We pray for our leaders to have honor, integrity and Christian values – to be men and women of God. We pray for those who don’t know you and for those who have turned away, we pray for their hearts to be softened and to seek you out.

We pray for your children to remain faithful in their prayers, to stay in your Word, and to receive comfort and strength from your Holy Spirit. We pray for the believers to encourage one another and to continue the good work you have for each of us here on earth.  We give you all the honor, glory and praise, that only you are due – thank you God, thank you Jesus, we love you, in Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN!

Day 30 of 40 Days of Prayer

Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise.  Give thanks to him and praise his name. (Psalm 100:4 NLT)

24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. 25 But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.” (Mark 11:24-25 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for all you have done for your children, we thank you for your many blessings, favor, mercy and grace. You are more awesome than we can ever imagine, you are majestic and wonderful. We ask for forgiveness of our sins, sins against you and each other; we want to honor you with our words and actions, so we ask forgiveness for the countless times we have fallen short.

We pray today for our nation; for this land to be restored and refreshed.  There is a darkness and depression that has covered this country and we pray for a revival among the people; a great repentance and returning to you. We pray for the people of this nation to seek you out, that there would be a revival of every heart and every soul. We pray for our leaders to honor you with praise and thanksgiving, to acknowledge you as the one true God and your Son, Jesus, as their Lord and Savior. We pray for your children, to be strengthened and encouraged, to keep pressing on – to finish this 40 days of prayer as a commitment to you and to our country. We pray for your wisdom, understanding and discernment with this election, we pray for your will to be done and for your name to be glorified. We give you all the glory, honor and praise, in Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN

Day 29 of 40 Days of Prayer

4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. (1 John 4:4-6 NKJV)

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for your Spirit of truth that guides and gives us your discernment. Thank you for ears that hear you and your truth and not the lies of this world. We ask for forgiveness of our sins, sins against you and each other; sins that were not confessed and preventing us from hearing your truth. We pray for our nation to awaken to you and your truth, to hear you and not the world, to remove the veil from all eyes and ears. We pray for the people of our land, to repent and to seek you out, to humble themselves before you God, to recognize the spirit of truth and turn away from the deceptions of the enemy. We pray for our leaders to recognize you God, as our creator and as our Heavenly Father.

We pray for each and every soul to be awakened by you Lord; to be renewed and restored, for every tongue to confess that Jesus is our Lord and Savior. We pray that all your children would unite together in proclaiming Jesus as Lord and to serve Him with all of their heart. We thank you God for the provisions for your people, for your protection over our nation, and for your favor upon your children. We give you all the honor, glory and praise and in your Son Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN!

Day 28 of 40 Days of Prayer

51 Do you think I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I have come to divide people against each other! 52 From now on families will be split apart, three in favor of me, and two against—or two in favor and three against.
53 ‘Father will be divided against son and son against father; mother against daughter and daughter against mother; and mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.  (Luke 12:51-53 NLT)

Dear God, thank you for your Word that guides us and instructs us – everyday there is something new and wonderful that we can take away from your Word. We ask for forgiveness of our sins, sins against you and each other; sins where we have coveted the approval of people instead of living for you. We pray for our country to return to you God, to return to worshiping you and not their idols. We pray for the people to return to you, so many have never known you God and they live in darkness – where your children are the only light they would see. We pray for the leaders of this nation, to have your wisdom, knowledge and discernment – so that they would seek your will and not their own and that they would guide our country back to you. We thank you God for your many mercies and blessings you have bestowed upon our nation and we thank you for your continued hand of favor upon your people.

We know that as followers of Christ, we must speak the truth, and with the truth – there will be offense and resentment. We may lose friendships and relationships, but we know that we cannot remain silent. We pray for all your children, to be  the salt and the light of this earth – to share you and your truth with everyone we meet; we pray for boldness, strength and to remain true to you Lord with steady purpose of the heart.  We pray for those joining us in prayer, that they would be restored, renewed, revived and refreshed. We pray these things in Jesus’ name ~ AMEN!

Day 27 of 40 Days of Prayer

9 So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10 Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.
11 We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, 12 always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. 13 For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, 14 who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins. (Colossians 1:9-14 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for your spiritual understanding that allows us to see your wisdom and not man’s foolish wisdom. We thank you that because of your knowledge, our eyes are opened – we see the tricks of the enemy, the deception and the lies around us. We ask for forgiveness of our sins, sins against you and each other; sins that have harmed us and kept us off the path you have for us.

We pray for our nation – for an awakening of hearts, an answer to the call you have given this land to return to you. We pray for our leaders – for a return to the God of Truth and Love , the One and Only God; to call upon your Son as their Lord and Savior and bear the fruit of a true believer.

We pray for your children to answer the call; to live a life that honors you and by sharing you and your love with the lost and backslidden. We pray for boldness and strength to speak out the truth and not be ashamed. We pray for all of your children to unite together, to grow in you and your Word, serving you and following your will.

We thank you for your Son – who has delivered us from the darkness of this world and delivered us into your eternal Kingdom of life and light. We love you and thank you Lord, we want to honor you with our praise, for only you are worthy of all honor and glory! In Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN!

Day 26 of 40 Days of Prayer

13 If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. 15 For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. 16 For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.
17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. 18 And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness. (James 3:13-18 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your wisdom and understanding that you give to your children. We know we are righteous only by the blood of your Son, we know we are truly foolish and we can never comprehend the majesty of your thoughts and designs – you created the Heavens and the Earth, you knew us before we were born, you knew time before it was imagined. We ask for forgiveness for our sins, sins of foolish people who are not worthy of your mercy, yet you wash us white as snow - and by your love and grace you blot out our transgressions.

Thank you God for the blessings you have given our nation, we pray for your continued hand of favor upon our country. We pray for the people to return to you, to humble themselves and seek you out, we pray for hearts to be changed and lives to be dedicated to you and your will. We pray for each and every believer that joins with us in prayer for our country – we pray for their peace, strength and comfort – that there would never be any lack, but only an abundance of every good thing.

We pray for the leaders, that the veil would be removed from their eyes, that they would see the direction our country is heading and know that changes must be made before it’s too late. We pray for the lost to know you, for laborers to be sent to those that have never known you and those that have ran away from you God. We pray for each heart to know their worth, to know they were worth God’s only Son dying on the cross for their sins – so each person on this earth is loved so much that they were worth dying for. We pray for lives to be different – lives to be better than they were before, lives to be free to follow you and worship you God. We pray for each and every heart to know you, to know your peace, your love, and your comfort – to know that you are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, you are the Great I Am. We worship you dear God, we love you and we want to honor you – we pray these things in your Son Jesus’ name  ~ AMEN!

Our Trust is in the Lord

I wait quietly before GOD, for my victory comes from HIM.
(Psalm 62:1 NLT)

Never has an election been more pivotal in our country,
the balance between good and evil are in the balance:

"Today I have given you the choice between life and death,
between blessings and curses.
Now I call on heaven and earth to witnessthe choice you make.
Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!" (Deut 30:19 NLT)

the veil has been removed from our eyes.

But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
(2 Cor 3:16 NLT)

We will remain vigilant in our prayers
for an awakening of our nation
 to the ONE TRUE GOD.

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. (2 Chron 7:14 NLT)

We will trust in HIM and we will be victorious
because it is Christ who strengthens us
and HE has already overcome this world!

"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." (John 16:33 NLT)

Day 25 of 40 Days of Prayer

3 Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires.
8 But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. 9 The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment.
14 And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.
15 And remember, our Lord’s patience gives people time to be saved. (2 Peter 3:3, 8-10,14-15 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for all your blessings and mercies, we thank you for your saving grace that has redeemed us and made us your children -because we have made your Son our Lord and Savior. We come to you today to pray for our nation and our leaders.   We pray for our nation to repent of the unholy ways the people of our land have lived.  We pray for the hearts of all the people to seek you. We pray for a return to rightful living; living for you and not for their own desires. We pray for our leaders to stand for righteousness and to call out to the people to join in a declaration of your Holiness. We pray for all the souls of the lost, that they would leave the darkness and turn towards your light, that they would repent before it is too late.  We pray for your children to be diligent in their work for you God, that they would stay faithful to you and your will for their lives. We pray for this election, that the hearts of this nation would turn to you and that eyes would see the evil before them and vote for you and our country's freedoms.  We pray for our nation to be restored, and for your hand and favor to remain upon us all. We thank you and ask you these things in your son Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN!

Day 24 of 40 Days of Prayer

7 We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure.  This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
8 We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. 9 We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.  (2 Corinthians 4:7-9 NLT)

16 But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. (2 Corinthians 3:16-18 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today to pray for our country and our leaders. We pray for your direct guidance in this election, that eyes and ears would be opened up and no longer hidden behind a veil of the enemy. Lord, your Word tells us that we are fragile, but you are strong. We know that you are the light within us, that when the worries, troubles and anxieties become too much – we do not have to give up, because you will never forsake us nor leave us. We are overcomers because your Son overcame this world. We thank you for our country and for the blessings you have bestowed on your children, we thank you for the freedoms we enjoy to worship you as we choose. We ask for forgiveness of the sins we have committed against you and each other, sins that have knocked us down, but with our repentance you have helped us back up again.  We pray for our leaders, that they would acknowledge you as their Lord and King and that that they would seek reconciliation with you. We pray for our country that there would be an awakening among all the Believers. We pray for a lifting of the veil, so that all hearts would earnestly seek after you and acknowledge your Son as their Lord and Savior. We thank you for your many blessings and favor you have given your children and our nation, we want to give you all the honor and glory that only you are due, thank you God and in your son Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN!

Day 23 of 40 Days of Prayer

For there is no other God but me, a righteous God and Savior.  There is none but me.   22 Let all the world look to me for salvation!  For I am God; there is no other 23 I have sworn by my own name; I have spoken the truth, and I will never go back on my word:  Every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will confess allegiance to me.” 24 The people will declare, “The Lord is the source of all my righteousness and strength.”  And all who were angry with him will come to him and be ashamed. (Isaiah 45:21b-24 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your righteousness, thank you for our salvation, thank you that there is no other God but you. Thank you that your Word is forever and never changes. We ask for forgiveness of our sins against you and each other. We pray for our country to return to its roots; a return to the reason this country was founded – the freedom to worship you and follow you. This country was built on the solid rock of Christianity, with you God as our foundation. We ask for forgiveness for the corruption of your name in our country and for the evil and wickedness that has taken place here. We ask for forgiveness over the silence that has allowed these changes to occur. We pray for our leaders - leaders who proclaim to be Christians but live as though they’ve never known you; we pray for an awakening in their hearts and their minds, so that they could lead with your blessings. We pray for those that don’t know you, that they would come to a saving knowledge of you. We pray for those that have known you but live otherwise, that they would return to you. We know the season of Jesus’ return is close, so we thank you for the work that we have to do – each and every believer has a purpose, especially during these times. We pray for boldness, strength, peace and comfort for every person – that they would seek you and your will in their lives. We pray for this election, that you would be given all the honor and glory no matter the outcome – we pray for the candidate that will lift you above every name, we pray for your mercy, grace and favor upon the candidate who puts your values first and our country second. We stand together in unity and prayer for our country and in Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN!!

Day 22 of 40 Days of Prayer

26 through faith in Christ Jesus you are all now God’s sons. 27 All you who have been baptized in Christ’s name have put on the person of Christ;[a] 28 no more Jew or Gentile, no more slave and freeman, no more male and female; you are all one person in Jesus Christ. 29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are indeed Abraham’s children; the promised inheritance is yours. (Galatians 3:26-29 KNOX)
Footnotes:
Galatians 3:27 ‘Have put on the person of Christ’; literally, ‘have put on Christ’, as in Rom. 13.14; here, St Paul refers to that obliteration of distinctions between man and man which results from our incorporation into Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you so much that we can call ourselves children of God. Thank you that we can say we have an inheritance in you. Thank you that upon our Salvation, we have literally become new creations in Christ.  Gone away is the old sinful person, we have the mighty and powerful authority of Christ living in us; shining through our old exterior and changing us from the inside out. Thank you God that there is no difference among your children; we all have the same Christ in us. Thank you that we can look to the fruits we bear to show others who your children are - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  May we always remember, that as your ambassadors here on Earth, everything we do is for your glory.

We ask for forgiveness of our sins; sins that have caused us to bare the wrong fruit - sins that have cast a shadow on your light. We don't want to lead anyone astray, so we pray that any foothold would be broken before it becomes a stronghold of the enemy - so that we can live for you and not for ourselves. We pray for our nation and our leaders; we pray that they would honor you with rightful living and to bear the good fruit of your Spirit. We pray that our leaders would show the same mercy and grace that you have shown us. We pray for those that don’t know you, that a laborer would be sent across their path- just like the Ethiopian that Phillip was guided to by your Holy Spirit, they would accept Jesus as their Savior and be baptized.

We also pray for each heart that allowed the bitterness of the world to creep in and harden their hearts; that their hearts would be softened and allow forgiveness back into their lives so they could draw close to you again God.  We pray that the people’s eyes would be opened, that hearts would be receptive to you and your Word – that this election would be a landslide in the favor of the candidate that would help our country seek you and your will. We pray that every attack of the enemy would be stopped right in its tracks, without the ability to damage this election and this country’s return to you. We pray for the boldness of your people, for the prayers of your children to be lifted up in unity across this country and the world. We thank you God in advance; because your Word tells us that when your people join together in prayer, humble ourselves, seek after you and turn away from our sins, that you will heal our land – so thank you God, thank you for healing our land, thank you for your forgiveness, your favor and blessings upon our country and your people. We give you all the honor and glory and in your Son Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN

Day 21 of 40 Days of Prayer

1 Joyful are people of integrity,
who follow the instructions of the Lord.
2 Joyful are those who obey his laws
and search for him with all their hearts.
3 They do not compromise with evil,
and they walk only in his paths.
4 You have charged us
    to keep your commandments carefully.
5 Oh, that my actions would consistently
    reflect your decrees!
6 Then I will not be ashamed
when I compare my life with your commands.
7 As I learn your righteous regulations,
I will thank you by living as I should!
8 I will obey your decrees.
Please don’t give up on me! (Psalm 119:1-8 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, we are so blessed to be your children, to be living in this day and time, where we can see your prophecy being poured out on mankind and have no fear because we count you as our Lord and protector. Thank you God for your Word that tells us of all these events, and that when we keep our eyes and heart focused on you and your Word, we don’t have to worry. We ask for forgiveness when we have walked off the path you have set out for us, when we have taken our eyes off of you, and when we have lived for ourselves. We pray for our nation that she would be joyful once again, following your instructions and searching for you. We pray for the people of our land that have lived outside your will and in doing so have brought the charges of sin upon our nation. As a church we are commanded to love and to share you and your Good News with all the world, we have fallen short dear God, leaving these commands for others to take part of instead of doing our part. We have forgotten that as the hand and feet of Jesus, we are the body of Christ and our purpose is to share you with every soul on this earth. We know the season is approaching and the harvest is ripe, we pray for laborers to be present and to do their part; that no one would be silenced, but instead have great boldness in declaring you as the one and only true God. We pray for every person that is joining us in prayer these 40 days, that they would be strengthened by you and your Holy Spirit. We pray for hearts to be made right with you, that lives would be lived for you, that there would be no luke warm churches, instead churches with passion for serving you and others. We pray for a unity among believers to bless and encourage one another. We pray that the church would stand up and use the voice they have been given by God to lead their congregations as you would have them be led. We pray for the leaders in this country, that they would be directed by you and follow you with their actions and not just their words. We know the enemy is roaming about like a lion, looking for whom he can devour – Lord we pray that we would stand firm against him and be strong in our faith. We pray for each and every heart that has felt hollow or cold, trying to fill the void that only you can fill God – our hearts were meant to be filled by you, so the desires and pleasures of the flesh are not a substitute but a counterfeit of the solution. We pray that each heart realize the solution to our country and this election and that without hesitation they would make the right decision in the ballot box on Nov 6th. Thank you in advance for these things and we give you all the honor and glory, in Jesus name we pray ~ AMEN

Day 20 of 40 Days of Prayer

Day 20

12 Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord’s work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance. 13 Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work. And live peacefully with each other.
14 Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone.
15 See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people.
16 Always be joyful. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
19 Do not stifle the Holy Spirit. 20 Do not scoff at prophecies, 21 but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. 22 Stay away from every kind of evil. (1 Thessalonians 5:12-22 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for your church and for the leaders you have anointed with your Holy Spirit to bring us your good news. We thank you for your Holy Spirit that guides us all and brings us your peace and comfort in a world where 'we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.' (Ephesians 6:12)

We thank you for our brothers and sisters in Christ who encourage and bless us and we pray that we would bless and encourage them as well. We ask for forgiveness of our sins, sins against you and each other; sins of complacency, doubt, and worry – instead of trusting in you God and stepping out in faith as you have taught us.

We pray for the lost and the backslidden, that they would seek you and find you; that their hearts would return to you and put godliness above worldliness. We pray for our leaders and our nation, we pray for your church to reclaim this nation as it was originally intended – one nation under God founded on Christian principles, united together in worship to you and you alone.

We pray for the people who don’t know you and have been misled by the media and the government; that their eyes would be opened and their ears would hear the truth and not be misguided by the deception of the enemy. We pray for an awakening of hearts to you, for souls to be born again and lives to follow you and your Word. We pray for our country to continue in your favor and blessings and we pray that this election would be an election for you God, voting you back into our country and our lives.

We pray that you would receive all the honor and glory that you are due, thank you God and thank you for your Son! In Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN!

Day 19 of 40 Days of Prayer

4 But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. 5 Those people belong to this world, so they speak from the world’s viewpoint, and the world listens to them. 6 But we belong to God, and those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the spirit of deception. (1 John 4:4-6 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you so much for your Spirit of truth, thank you for your discernment, that we can know what is of you and what is of this world. Thank you that your Spirit in us IS  greater than our enemy in this world. Thank you that we do not have to fear what the future holds, because you hold the future. Thank you for your Word that tells us, you will never fail us or abandon us and that your Son Jesus Christ, is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Thank you God for boldness to step out across the river, to not be stuck in complacency, to move forward to your promise land. We ask for forgiveness of our sins, sins against you and each other; sins that have been hidden but not repented, sins that have held us back from crossing into our promise lands. We pray for the souls who have never heard your good news, for the souls that have heard your Word but have turned their back on you – we pray that there would be a softening of their hearts, a laborer sent across their path, an encouraging word, a movement towards you and a reconciliation. We pray for our nation, we pray that the people would turn to you God, that your church would join together and proclaim you as our one true God. We pray for our leaders, that they would seek you and search you out, and find you and accept you as their Creator and Lord. We pray before this next debate that your favor be on the rightful candidate for this country, we claim your Son as our only Lord and Savior but we acknowledge that our country needs a President that will turn its focus back to you God. We pray for your favor and wisdom upon the candidate that believes in the santicicty of life and marriage – we pray for the candidate that respects our country and supports the Freedoms our forefathers claimed for us in our Constitution. We pray for the people’s eyes to be opened to the truth and not the corrupted lies of the media, we pray for the people’s ears to hear the message that you would have them hear. We know the enemy has plans for this debate, has plans for this country that are destruction and chaos, but we know that we don’t have to fear, because your Word tells us that when two agree here on earth that it will be done by you in Heaven – so Lord as we unite together in agreement for the truth and for your will to be done – we thank you in advance because we receive the blessings, favor, mercy and grace that you have for your children and this nation! Thank you God, thank you – in Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN!

Day 18 of 40 Days of Prayer

16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

18 “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. 19 And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. 20 All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. 21 But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.” (John 3:16-21 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today to thank you for loving us, you loved us before Adam, you loved us after Adam, and you loved us when you sent your Son Jesus to save us. We thank you for your Son, for his sacrifice, for his love, and for his righteousness. We ask for forgiveness of our sins, sins against you and each other, we have been a nation that has taken for granted the freedoms we have. We have taken for granted the price that your Son paid, the price that our forefathers fought for and the many lives lost from battles and wars to gain the freedoms of our great nation. We have seen the light and we are no longer standing in the shadows, we are proclaiming you as the God of this nation and sharing your light, your freedom and your love with all the world. We will not remain silent and allow the wicked to prevail; for your Son’s sake we claim the victory that has already been won. We acknowledge the sovereignty of only one king and He is the King of Kings! Our eyes have been opened, our voices will be heard, and our hearts are ready. Your Son saved us because you loved us, not to condemn us, but so we could be made righteous through him! We pray for our nation and our leaders, for their sincere hearts and for their desire to serve you and not themselves. We are the salt and the light of the world, we will add flavor to this land– we will show your love, mercy and loving-kindness for all. We will shine your light so that evil has to flee and cannot stand in our presence. Give us the strength to be bold in our faith, in our words and in our actions. We pray for the voice of truth to be heard and believed, the enemy has taken over the truth and has twisted and corrupted it – we pray that the lies would no longer be tolerated and that your people would join together and silence the enemy. We pray that the lost would hear your truth, that their hearts would turn to you, softened and ready to receive you. We pray that those that have allowed bitterness and the world to take over their hearts, turning their hearts from you into a cold stony heart - would instead become pliable, soft and flexible – a heart that you could work with, to mold to where it should be instead of where it wandered away from you to. We give you all the honor and glory and praise dear God and we want to exalt you high above all else – we thank you for your mercy and grace and we thank you for your love, bless us as a people and as a nation, bless us so that we might bless others, encourage us, so that we might encourage others – in your Son Jesus’ precious name we pray ~ AMEN!

Day 17 of 40 Days of Prayer

15-17 “I know you inside and out, and find little to my liking. You’re not cold, you’re not hot—far better to be either cold or hot! You’re stale. You’re stagnant. You make me want to vomit. You brag, ‘I’m rich, I’ve got it made, I need nothing from anyone,’ oblivious that in fact you’re a pitiful, blind beggar, threadbare and homeless. (Revelations 3:15-17 MSG)

19 Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude]. (Revelations 3:19 AMP)

20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. 21 Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.

22 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.” (Revelations 3:20-22 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you Lord for your Word that instructs us on how to live our lives as you have commanded us, teaching us your ways and not the worlds. We thank you Lord, for your Holy Spirit, that guides us and directs us – convicting us of the sins that we have yet to repent from, and giving us your peace when we have. We thank you for your son Jesus, for his perfect and blameless life he lived, and for his sacrifice on the cross for every sinner - for his gift of salvation when he conquered the grave and ascended to heaven at your right hand. We thank you God for you, for your mercy, for your grace and your never ending love that you have given your children. We ask for forgiveness of our sins, sins against you and each other, sins that have led us away from you and your blessings. We pray for the lost souls that don’t know you and we pray for the saved who have turned away from you and live only for themselves.  We pray for our nation and for our leaders, we pray for your guidance and direction over them, that they would recognize your authority as God and kneel before you, instead of trying to raise above you. We pray that there would be no lukewarm hearts in your church, that every heart would be passionate about serving you and completing the good works you began in us. We pray that eyes would be opened to the truth around them, that people would awaken from the slumber they have been in, that each and every heart would answer the call that you are making to your children today. It is time to claim the church as the bride of Christ, the time is growing shorter, hearts need to be prepared for you dear God. We pray that as your Spirit cries out, that your church would answer the call with worship and praise for you and your son with rightful living in perfect obedience to you. That every church share you and your love with every person that walks through their doors, that the church be united in agreement that for your honor and glory is our purpose, for you and you alone deserve all the praise. I pray that every heart drop the weight of their sins and burdens and lay them before you God, giving you what has chained them to this world, and seek their freedom in you. We pray that every heart that isn't right with you, would seek you and your will for their lives. We pray that every person would reach for you instead of a substance or a person for their deliverance. We know that only you can save a life, that only you can raise a life – we acknowledge you as our Lord and Savior Jesus and we pray for those that don’t know you, that a laborer would be sent across their path. Time grows shorter and as we near this election Lord, we know that time is of the essence, this election is pivotal for our country and our freedoms. We can not choose silence, we must use our voices and be heard – we must stand up for our faith and not be intimated by the enemy's tricks and deception. Our eyes are opened Lord, we are not asleep and we will not be led astray – because greater is He that is in us, than he that is in this world. We will claim victory for you on Nov 6th and this country will return to its Christian roots, we love you God and we thank you for all you have done for us– your ways are too awesome to imagine. Thank you, in your son Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN!

Day 16 of 40 Days of Prayer

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. (Romans 5:1-2 NLT)

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. (2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for your many blessings and favor that you have given to your children and to our country. And we thank you for your grace and mercy that you have lavished onto us.  We acknowledge you as our God, the God of truth and love, the God who was, and is, and is to come. We want to bring you the honor and glory that only you are worthy of. God you have given us eyes to see when no human eye can see a way, we see God’s way; you have given us a way when the world says it’s impossible, we can boldly say that with God ALL things are possible. We have no limits with you God, we have no mountain that is too big or no sea too deep – we have the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth on our side. God we ask for forgiveness, when we begin to doubt, when we begin to give into the worry and anxiety of this world – when we look at the situations around us and think that there’s just no way. Please forgive us for doubting you, you are the same God of miracles from the Bible, you never change – forgive us for trying to conform you to our world and lives, instead of conforming ourselves to you and your Word. Your Word is perfectly clear, there is no reading in between the lines, and today too many people have claimed to be your children and have twisted your Word into the confines of man’s abilities and lofty ideals.

Dear God, it’s time for your children to arise and answer the cry from your Holy Spirit to all Believers – a call to stand up for you. We pray for forgiveness of our sins, sins against you and each other. You have given us your grace, redeemed us by faith in your son Jesus Christ and by mercy we have been set free from the bondage that this world had once claimed over us – it’s time to stop picking up those chains and claim the promises that you have for your children today. It’s time for every Believer to use the authority of Christ and proclaim the victory over the enemy, to claim what has already been given and what Jesus has already paid for. We pray that your Holy Spirit would pour out over us and embolden us share you and your message with the lost. We pray that the lost would come to you with a tender heart and seek your forgiveness. We pray for every leader in every nation, that they would seek you and your will for themselves and their countries. We pray that hearts would search for you, that lives would be changed and that your will would be done in the land. We thank you and give you all the praise and honor, in your son Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN

Day 15 of 40 Days of Prayer

John 8:31-32 "So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

John 1:17 "For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ."

Dear Heavenly Father,
We humbly submit ourselves to Your Word, who is Jesus Christ (John 1). We submit ourselves to your grace and to your truth! Father, we ask that in our personal lives, in our families, in our communities, and in our nation that we would seek truth, honor truth, elevate truth as we honor & elevate Your Word in our lives.

We thank you that as we continue in Your word, in truth, and in grace as given to us in Jesus that we will be free! We will see and know freedom in our lives and in the lives of our loved ones. Father, we ask you to reveal more and more of Jesus to us!

On behalf of our nation, Father, we ask that grace and truth be elevated, honored, and sought after in all areas: journalism, politics, religion, family, faith, education, and all other areas! We ask that Jesus be magnified in our nation! Father, we ask that lying lips be silenced and that Your grace and truth reign in our lives and in the lives of this great nation that we are so blessed to live in. Father, we ask that according to Ephesians 1 that you would grant to us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus Christ; that you'd open the eyes of our understanding that we would know what is the hope of Your calling and the glorious inheritance of the saints - and the awesome working of your power towards us who believe. Father, we thank you for eyes being opened across this nation. Seeing they will see! Hearing they will hear!

Then as we seek, hear, see, and follow after Jesus Christ - who is truth - then we will know and continue in the truth and the truth will set us free; families healed and mended; marriages restored; communities drawn together to honor You; a nation emboldened to stand for Christ. In Jesus Name we pray! Be magnified, Oh Lord! Amen.

I'd like to thank Heather Yanta for today's prayer, she is a true Sister in Christ and I'm so blessed to have her as a friend!! ~ dawn

Day 14 of 40 Days of Prayer

15“Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. 16 You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. 19 So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. 20 Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.

21 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. (Matthew 7:15-21 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for the many blessings you have given your children and this nation.  We want to give you all the honor, glory and praise that only you deserve.  We thank you that we can freely come to the throne of grace and seek forgiveness for our sins against you and each other. Lord, we want to cleanse our hearts of all the worldly things that are getting in the way of worshiping you, we want to be in complete obedience and follow your will and not our own. We want to bear good fruit; we want people’s lives to be left better than before we met them.  We pray that people would seek you because they can see you  in us and they want to have your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and self-control in their own lives. We pray for our leaders to bear good fruit and not the bad fruit that has fallen off the tree, full of moral decay and rot. Only you can change a heart, so please Lord, soften the hearts of the lost, the wayward and our leaders – challenge them to seek after you and your will instead of their own. We pray for a passion to be stirred in all believers, a passion for you, a passion to follow after you with their whole hearts and not just lip service – to be counted as a laborer and leading many to salvation. We pray for a reconciliation of lives to you, that people would check themselves against your Word and account for their thoughts, words, and actions – and if a heart softening, nudge, or change would be needed that they would make a move into obedience with you. We see the changes happening Lord; we see eyes, ears and minds opened to you and your truth. We thank you for the revelations happening in lives and in our nation. We thank you that your son Jesus told us 'that it shall be done for us as we believed', so Lord we are believing that our nation would continue to be blessed by you, that we would continue to see your favor and hand upon our land; that many would come to a saving knowledge of you, that the truth would be spoken with great boldness and that your name would be made Holy in the lives of all the people.  In your son Jesus’ name we do pray ~ AMEN

Day 13 of 40 Days of Prayer

24 When they heard the report, all the believers lifted their voices together in prayer to God: “O Sovereign Lord, Creator of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— 25 you spoke long ago by the Holy Spirit through our ancestor David, your servant, saying,
‘Why were the nations so angry?
Why did they waste their time with futile plans?
26 The kings of the earth prepared for battle;
    the rulers gathered together
against the Lord
    and against his Messiah.’
28 But everything they did was determined beforehand according to your will. 29 And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. 30 Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
31 After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness. (Acts 4:24-26, 28-31 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for giving us your Word and your Holy Spirit; they guide us and direct us unto the path you made for us, long before we were even born. We thank you God for the wisdom you have given your children, for your understanding and discernment regarding our future; you have given us all that we need to pray and encourage one another. We ask for forgiveness of our sins, the sins we’ve committed against you and each other, the sins we’ve forgotten and the sins we can’t forget – we ask that they be cast away forever and that we turn from those sins and focus on you dear God. Your Word tells us that when your children lift their voices together in prayer, as one voice, in one accord; that this spiritual unity enables your Holy Spirit to operate among us. Together we pray that the people of this land would acknowledge you as their Lord and Savior and not seek salvation from the government.  We pray that the leaders of this nation be challenged to be people of honor and integrity –  and to place you above themselves and above all others, to lift you high where you belong, as the one true God – the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. We pray that the lost would be found, the roaming would return to the fold and the hurting would be healed and restored. We pray for your will to be done in this land and that your mercy and grace would be seen and felt by all. We thank you dear God for your never ending love, we thank you for boldness in our words and in our lives; that we would minister to all the land, blessing everyone we meet with your light that shines through us. We ask these things, in your son Jesus’ name ~ AMEN

Day 12 of 40 Days of Prayer

2 Jesus said, “This is how you should pray:
“Father, may your name be kept holy.
    May your Kingdom come soon.
3 Give us each day the food we need,
4 and forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
And don’t let us yield to temptation.”

9“And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. (Luke 11:2-4, 9-10 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for teaching your children how to pray, thank you for always guiding us, thank you for giving us your wisdom and discernment. We thank you for all that you have done for your children and our nation and we thank you for your Word that prepares us for things to come. We pray Lord that your name would be honored and lifted high, that you would be exalted and given the praise and glory you so richly deserve.  We pray for the day when in a twinkling of an eye, we will all be called home. We pray that every need be met, that every heart be satisfied and every soul filled by you. We ask for forgiveness of our sins, sins against you, our nation and each other – we ask that if there is any un-confessed sin among us, that it would be brought to our remembrance, so we could ask forgiveness and repent from that sin.  We pray dear Lord, for strength to resist any temptation and that we would encourage ourselves and each other with your Word. We pray that our leaders would hear your Word, turn from their wicked ways, and turn to you.  We pray for every heart to seek you, for every knee to bow and every tongue confess that you are Lord. We thank you that we can boldy come to your throne of grace and offer our praise and prayers.  We know that if we ask - we will receive, if we seek - we will find, and when we knock - the door will be opened; so thank you for answering our prayers, thank you for the lives that will be saved and that our nation will return to you. We give you all the honor and praise, we love you and we want to thank you for your mercy and grace, for your Holy Spirit’s comfort and guidance, for your Son, Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross – for his redeeming blood that made us righteous, for the new creation we have become in Christ when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, thank you God, thank you! In Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN!

Day 11 of 40 Days of Prayer

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. 14 I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.” (Jeremiah 29:11-14 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, you are so awesome, you are so majestic, you are beyond any goodness we can imagine. We thank you for all the blessings, mercies, grace and favor you have given your children and our country – we know your hand has been upon this nation from the days it was founded and we are here today to pray for your hand to stay upon this nation. Lord, your Word tells us that you have good plans for us, a future and a hope – we know we have sinned against you and each other as a nation, we ask for forgiveness of those sins as we seek you and your everlasting compassion for your children. We claim the blood of Jesus over those sins and we know they are cast into the bottom of the sea and forgotten.  We pray for each and every person to receive the gift of Salvation; you have already given it, each person has merely to confess it and receive it. We pray that eyes would be opened, that ears would hear, that hearts would be turned to you, and that minds would be open to your message. We pray for the leaders of our nation, that they would search for you wholeheartedly, because when they do, they will find you Lord. We pray that every soul would be claimed in the name of Jesus Christ and receive your eternal gift of Salvation. We pray for the lost who have been stuck in captivity by the enemy, that they would receive the peace you have freely given them, we pray that heart choices would be made and lives would be changed. We pray that each and every lost and wandering soul would repent and return to you, because just the like the prodigal son returning, you are the loving father, anxiously awaiting to receive your lost child back into your kingdom with arms outstretched full of mercy and lovingkindness. In Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN

Day 10 of 40 Days of Prayer

“That is why I threw myself down before the Lord for forty days and nights—for the Lord said he would destroy you.  I prayed to the Lord and said, ‘O Sovereign Lord, do not destroy them. They are your own people. They are your special possession..” (Deuteronomy 9:25-26a NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that you have declared your children as your special possession. Thank you for all you have done for us, we have so much to be thankful for, when we have never been deserving of your mercies, grace, nor love. We ask for forgiveness of our sins against you and each other. We pray for our country and for our leaders; that they would follow you and your will, by staying on the path of your righteousness and to be guided by your Word. We also pray for each and every person praying with us these 40 days, that they would be covered in an out pouring of the Holy Spirit, that they would be strengthened in Christ with boldness, with peace and comfort to continue to pray for others and share your message with the lost and those that have turned their back on you, bless them and their families so that they may bless others, encourage them so that they would be able to encourage others. We pray for our nation, that each heart would be enlarged for more of you and less of them, that each heart would be expanded by your love. We pray for our nation to seek you and your will Lord, that all selfishness and bitterness be left behind and replaced with giving, softened hearts that only want to honor and glorify you. We thank you that according to your Word, we are your chosen people, we are royal priests, a holy nation, and your very special possession dear Lord. We thank you for your Holy Spirit, that comforts and guides us, and for your Son who redeemed us and cleansed us white as snow; in Jesus’ name we pray ~AMEN

Day 9 of 40 Days of Prayer

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that you sent your son to take our place on the cross. Thank you that although Jesus was without sin, he carried our burdens and died so that we could be made righteous. Thank you for saving us when we were dirty, sinful, and unlovable – transforming us into new creations, cleansed by the blood of your Son and made right-standing, when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We ask for forgiveness of those sins we still make today, sins against you and each other. We pray that each and every child that has been bought and redeemed through the blood of your son Jesus would recognize their God given purpose that you have for them. We pray that every believer would recognize the authority they have in Christ and to receive the blessings that you have already prepared for them. We pray that every nation’s leader would bend their knee and confess that you are their Lord. We pray for the protection, favor and blessings of our country and ask that you would continue to give us your mercy and grace. We pray that as your church, we would go out and make disciples of all the nations, continuing to share the message of your Son and his Salvation. We want to give you all the praise and glory, so thank you God for the love you lavish on your children and thank you for your mercies that are new every day. In Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN
