My child, don’t reject the Lord ’s discipline, and don’t be
upset when he corrects you. For the Lord
corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he
delights. (Proverbs 3:11-12 NLT)
Correction & discipline are not punishment(some people
think God punish us with disease, tragedies, accidents, hardships, or death -
that's a lie of the devil) - God's correction & discipline are LOVING
guidance, our parents wouldn't hurt us to 'teach us a lesson' and our Heavenly
Father wouldn't either!
That loving guidance is given to help steer us in the right
direction when we've taken a wrong turn. Sometimes it's a difficult path (thorn
in the side), sometimes we get on the right track quickly, and sometimes we
have a season of challenges. As long as we continue to follow God through that
time (keep our faith in Him and not in ourselves) we will always be showered
with God's grace and mercies.
