23 Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant
arguments that only start fights. 24 A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but
must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult
people. 25 Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change
those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. 26 Then they will come to
their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive
by him to do whatever he wants. (2 Timothy 2:23-26 NLT)
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your wisdom and
discernment. Thank you for your guidance and thank you for allowing your
children to be taught and open to the truth. We ask for forgiveness of our
sins, sins against you and each other; sins where we’ve argued with others
trying to force them to understand – what we cannot force, only you can reveal!
We pray for our nation, we pray for hearts to be softened to
you and your message. We pray for eyes and ears to be opened and that your truth would be received by all. Jesus died to give us freedom;
our salvation is freedom from the lies and bondage of the enemy. We pray for
our leaders to break the chains that have blinded them from the truth and to
receive their salvation; so that they would follow you and your will dear God.
We pray for your children to be faithful and mindful of
your Word. We pray for softened hearts, for your guidance and direction. We pray for your continued mercies and grace
upon our land and our people; bless us so we can bless others, encourage us so
we can encourage others. Thank you God for all you have done for us, in Jesus’
name we pray ~ AMEN!
