8 Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. 9
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.”
So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can
work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the
insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For
when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:8-10 NLT)
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for your grace and mercy. Although you don’t
give us the thorns in our lives – we thank you, that you are the one who sustains us and strengthens us to overcome victoriously any thorn that we may experience. We ask for
forgiveness of our sins, sins against you and each other; sins where we have
complained about our thorns, instead of using those thorns to magnify your grace and mercy.
We pray for our land, that every heart come before you, united as one
nation under God. We pray for our leaders to humbly seek your face, to boast
about you and not themselves. We thank you for the many blessings you have
given our country and we pray for your grace in removing the thorns that have corrupted our land. We join together to
pray for eyes and ears to opened - that all your
children and the people of this land, would seek you and your will. We thank
you for all you have done for us – we want to give you all the honor, glory and praise! In Jesus’ name
we pray ~ AMEN!
