Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts
with praise. Give thanks to him and
praise his name. (Psalm 100:4 NLT)
24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you
believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. 25 But when you are praying,
first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in
heaven will forgive your sins, too.” (Mark 11:24-25 NLT)
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for all you have done
for your children, we thank you for your many blessings, favor, mercy and
grace. You are more awesome than we can ever imagine, you are majestic and
wonderful. We ask for forgiveness of our sins, sins against you and each other;
we want to honor you with our words and actions, so we ask forgiveness for the
countless times we have fallen short.
We pray today for our nation; for this land to be
restored and refreshed. There is a
darkness and depression that has covered this country and we pray for a revival
among the people; a great repentance and returning to you. We pray for the people of
this nation to seek you out, that there would be a revival of every heart and
every soul. We pray for our leaders to honor you with praise and thanksgiving,
to acknowledge you as the one true God and your Son, Jesus, as their Lord and
Savior. We pray for your children, to be strengthened and encouraged, to keep
pressing on – to finish this 40 days of prayer as a commitment to you and to
our country. We pray for your wisdom, understanding and discernment with this
election, we pray for your will to be done and for your name to be glorified.
We give you all the glory, honor and praise, in Jesus’ name we pray ~ AMEN
