13 If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by
living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from
wisdom. 14 But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in
your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. 15 For jealousy
and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly,
unspiritual, and demonic. 16 For wherever there is jealousy and selfish
ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.
17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is
also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is
full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. 18
And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of
righteousness. (James 3:13-18 NLT)
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your wisdom and
understanding that you give to your children. We know we are righteous only by
the blood of your Son, we know we are truly foolish and we can never comprehend
the majesty of your thoughts and designs – you created the Heavens and the
Earth, you knew us before we were born, you knew time
before it was imagined. We ask for forgiveness for our sins, sins of foolish
people who are not worthy of your mercy, yet you wash us white as snow - and by your love and grace you blot out our transgressions.
Thank you God for the blessings you have given our
nation, we pray for your continued hand of favor upon our country. We pray for
the people to return to you, to humble themselves and seek you out, we pray for
hearts to be changed and lives to be dedicated to you and your will. We pray
for each and every believer that joins with us in prayer for our country – we pray
for their peace, strength and comfort – that there would never be any lack, but only an abundance of every good thing.
We pray for the leaders, that the veil would be removed from their eyes, that
they would see the direction our country is heading and know that changes must
be made before it’s too late. We pray for the lost to know you, for laborers to
be sent to those that have never known you and those that have ran away from
you God. We pray for each heart to know their worth, to know they were worth
God’s only Son dying on the cross for their sins – so each person on this earth
is loved so much that they were worth dying for. We pray for lives to be
different – lives to be better than they were before, lives to be free to
follow you and worship you God. We pray for each and every heart to know you,
to know your peace, your love, and your comfort – to know that you are the
Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, you are the Great I Am. We
worship you dear God, we love you and we want to honor you – we pray these
things in your Son Jesus’ name ~ AMEN!
